He devotes most of his clinical activity to **acute ischaemic stroke**, reperfusion therapies (intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy), **neurosonology** and the management of complex neurovascular patients. He collaborates with the BRAIN & SPINE Barcelona team in general neurological assessment, with particular interest in headache (migraine, cluster headache) and cerebrovascular pathology.

## Research

He participates as a researcher in competitive projects funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III: *complement inhibition to optimise functional recovery in ischaemic stroke* and *determinants of tissue fate and functional recovery in malignant cerebral infarction*. His research lines include clinical, radiological and serum biomarkers of malignant cerebral infarction, arterial wall injury after thrombectomy and prediction of haemorrhagic transformation.
